For 51 summers Camp Lohikan has provided campers with a safe, wholesome environment to make friends, professional instruction to learn new skills and sharpen old ones, and a friendly camp atmosphere where FUN happens all the time.
SPORTS INSTRUCTION PROGRAM INCLUDES: Basketball, Soccer, Baseball, Softball, Lacrosse, Gymnastics, USTA Tennis, Volleyball, Swimming, Water Skiing, Jet Skiing, Sailing, Wind Surfing, Canoeing, Rock Climbing, Horseback Riding (no extra charge), Paintball, Bungee Trampoline, Skateboarding & Inline Skating, Downhill Mountain Boarding, Quads-ATV's, Scuba Diving, Roller Hockey, Archery, Riflery, Flag Football, Mt. Cycling, Golf, Fitness Training, and we have an awesome Five-Star Basketball Clinic (FREE!) scheduled July 29-31.
FIRST-TIME CAMPER PROGRAM: First-time campers are our specialty! We have a comprehensive program designed to make the first-time camp experience an easy and ultimately successful endeavor. We even offer first-time camping families a unique Great Camp Guarantee which provides for a tuition refund if the camper leaves camp early.
CAMP STAFF: When it comes down to it, camp staff is what a successful camp is all about. A great camp experience is only possible with great camp staff. This is where we shine! Our 50+ senior staff members are adult professionals who assume supervisory responsibilities in camp and at least 90% return every summer. Our in-cabin counselors are college-enrolled staff members who return at a rate better than 50%. 90% of our staff are Americans who are recruited across the United States for their skills, experience and ability to work with children. All staff members are interviewed, references contacted and criminal background checks performed. During our pre-camp orientation period staff members are certified in safety procedures, qualified for instructional responsibilities and trained in providing the supportive, nurturing camp atmosphere that has characterized Camp Lohikan since its beginning.
CAMP FACILITIES: Camp Lohikan is situated on 1200 acres and located high in the northeast Pocono Mountains of Pennsylvania. The campus is surrounded by preserved forested landscape and overlooks picturesque streams, a private lake and miles of enchanting mountain vistas. The mountain air at a quarter mile above sea level is clean and dry. Summer days are typically warm and the nights are cool. It’s the ideal location for the summer camp experience!
Lohikan’s extensive program facilities include: a private lake with 50 boats, heated swimming pool, on-premises 30 horse stable, over 7 miles of horse trails, 11 court tennis center equipped with lights, indoor and outdoor basketball courts (with lights), indoor roller hockey rink, awesome skate park (100’x100’), over 40,000 sq. ft. of indoor activity facilities, 2 paintball fields, 6 regulation sports fields, circus arts building, performing arts building with main stage, amphitheater, creative arts center with 14 workshops, woodworking building, ceramics/pottery building, dance studio, music room, sand volleyball court, archery camp; riflery ranges, fitness center, outdoor challenge course with a 40’ climbing tower, 3 zip lines and 16 high and low rope elements, 1/4 quad track, gymnastics center, bungee trampoline (4 trampolines), photography studio, radio broadcasting studio, video production studio, computer center, snack shop & video gameroom, wrestling pavilion, martial arts center, 10 downhill mt. boarding trails, and more!
